Description
The desire for freedom and acceptance
In the “Freedom Is Now” poster, the message that it conveys is the fundamental element. The Statue of Liberty is a significant symbol recognized worldwide. In this artwork, it has been transformed to align with modern issues. One of these issues is the ongoing lack of acceptance and legalization of cannabis. Despite the existence of medical marijuana, society’s awareness still requires change. This is the call of this poster. The “Freedom Is Now” poster is a bold and expressive tribute to freedom and modern values. The figure inspired by the Statue of Liberty holds a bong, wears a crown of cannabis leaves, and holds a torch whose flame also features similar motifs. This symbolic transformation of the icon of liberty highlights the movement for the legalization and acceptance of marijuana. Modern style combined with minimalist simplicity
The artwork is highly modern, featuring many minimalist elements and simple shapes. A flattened colour palette is used-only a few colours are present. The overall design appears both minimalist and subdued yet highly dynamic. The background adds depth, while the golden accents emphasize the style. However, the strong message encourages reflection. The poster’s colour scheme is dominated by shades of green with golden accents, giving it freshness and vitality. At the same time, it evokes associations with nature and new beginnings. Additionally, the poster motivates the fight for freedom in all spheres-not just those related to the legalization movement. “Freedom Is Now” fits perfectly in modern interiors and minimalist settings. The poster introduces an element of rebellion and courage. It’s a piece that fills the space and also prompts reflection on what true freedom is and whether we can truly achieve it today.
